Year 10 students attended a "Making Opportunities" event at Derby University at the beginning of July 2014.
The aim of the day was raise students awareness of the skills and attributes employers are looking for in young people when applying for jobs.
Over 30 volunteers from Business acted as Group Advisors for the day.
Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne visited Rolls-Royce's learning and development centre in Derby this week to witness the signing of a three year partnership between Rolls-Royce and Teach First. Our two teach first Science participants and eleven Derby Moor A-Level students were invited along to represent Teachfirst .
Eight Derby Moor students were awarded their Silver Crest awards on Wednesday 9th July.
The awards are designed to inspire and engage young people in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects.
